WEIRD DOLL WEDNESDAY, PART 298 


Stumbled across a post from a fellow named Matthew Thompson called Journey to the Island of Dolls. Have you heard about this place? It's on an island in the middle of Mexico City. And is covered with dolls.....creepy, weird dolls hanging in the trees and all over the place. I heard about this years ago and always wanted to let the weird dolls hang out in the backyard. I guess it will have to wait. Not a good idea to do when the house is for sale.

    There are putti and then there is this (anatomically correct) putto. Even cleaned up and gilded, I don't think I'd enjoy his waving at me from the upper corner of a chapel.
