 HAPPY NEW YEAR, Y'ALL

I had a lovely vacation visiting my BFF. I didn't take any photos, because I didn't feel like it. It was cold and rainy, but we had a blast. We watched a lot of art documentaries: one about Ai Wei Wei, another called Blank City, which is about the underground film scene in NYC in the late 70's/early 80's and Radiant Child, which is about Jean-Michel Basquiet. After that we, of course, had the watch Slaves of New York. Not that good of a movie, but Bernadette Peters is fun to watch. Also watched Simila's Sense of Snow and way to much Key and Peele. Of course we went shopping, what else do you do when the weather is not so good?
Purple plastic maracas and purple socks gifts. Mexican candy, fancy cookies(in the tin) yet another necklace, that orange thing is a citrus squeezer, a Sphinx ornament, and little bottle of crystal skull vodka(yeah, I bought it for the bottle, don't judge)
A bunch of stuff to make stuff, ie; more jewelry. How could I past on a sideshow calendar? I couldn't.

My sister-in-law sent me the plate, there's mimes! A huge flower pin/hair thingy, the ribbon rolls are from Halloween and cost a $1, Katy Perry knock-off perfume

2 pro photos of my niece's wedding. Cheap ass IKEA frames

All these Barbie's for $3! Can't imagine what I'll do with them.......

Yeah, I needed another b & w dress. This one is from Sushi Flowers, I didn't make that up.

Navy blue vintage slip

The lovely Roxi is modeling my new hat. The label says "Maudie's Millinery Charlotte, N. C" It cost $10 and I got it at Vintage Wear in Fort Mill S. Carolina. I added the pin. It pays to check out small towns, as you never know what you'll come across. There's also a cool junk shop called, I think Funky Junk.

Got this vintage coat w/fur color at Value Village. It's a little too small, but who cares?
Hope everybody was a wonderful 2013.

  1. Nice buys. No one's judging you on the buying vodka thing. Sometimes I buy vodka just for the vodka. If there's a cool bottle involved as well, it's a no brainer...

  3. Well you certainly had a great visit! I haven't heard of a single one of those flicks, have to fix that! I love the skull vodka bottle I have been meaning to order me one:). I get it:). I wonder what my neighbors would think if I hung all those barbies from the tree in the front yard?
