An Edgar Allen Poe bobble head doll. About 10 or so years ago, I designed the costumes for play called Nevermore. Based on the thought of what happened to Mr. Poe leading up to the day he was found dying in a gutter. He was seen boarding a ship, then disappearing and turning up days later in Baltimore, only to die a couple of days later. It's still a mystery. The playwriter set the play as fantasy ala A Christmas Carole where Poe goes through a guided tour of his stories instead of his life. He interacts with The Telltale Heart, The Gold Bug ect. This is the only photo I have from the show.

300? Where did the time go? x
ReplyDeleteDeep Envy on the Poe bobble head , just discovered a whole weird Poe section on Wish , not for the family but just for me.
ReplyDeleteThis bobble head would find a suitable perch on the magnificent "Annotated Tales of Edgar Allan Poe" which lives on the bottom shelf of my computer desk and keeps it stable. * Would not Johnny Depp be a casting coup for a new Poe bio?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 300th! Please keep the weird dolls coming!
