REMEMBR WHEN THAT HURRICANE CAME THROUGH?
And did this to one chimney?
Here it is, plied up neat and tidy. We're so lucky (and happy) that the bricks came down 1-2 at a time. This hitting the roof would have been a true nightmare and would have cost more then $500 to repair. Thank you, homeowner's insurance. The fire place this was attacked to sits between our bedroom and dining room.
I moved all the broken bricks to the front yard.
And we now have sweet brick edging.
Ingenious reuse of bricks there! Hooray for insurance. x
ReplyDeleteglad that everything was fixed and without damaging your roof! and glad that you found a place for the broken bricks, they look nice!

A freak hailstorm took half my chimney and roof, and so -- because our building code forbids more than two roof layers -- required a full new roof. I was so relieved with the insurance settlement, I treated the house to a new chimney liner and cap. My "used bricks" have been recycled as pot stands. Isn't it fun to play with bricks!
