 IT WAS A SKIRT

This top was a gathered waist long skirt. I'd liked the  fabric, but gathered waist skirts don't work too well on me
Not a lot of jewelry this morning, the collar is a stand up one. It's still hot in my building, so my hair is going up. How hot was it yesterday? Our  Dean came by,  checking to made sure we all hadn't fainted. The building is being worked on (again) and it's playing havoc with the A/C.

This was the hem . Which is the reason I bought the skirt. I found the cuff on the street one morning. Oops, forgot to turn this one!
Here's the pattern I used. I don't even know if they're still in business, but they have a wonderful line of ethnic and vintage patterns. I sometime find them at thrift stores and yard sales.

This is what's behind me. There's a date palm down the street and when these fall off , I can't just let them lay there.

What do you do about a chain across the yard?

 PROJECT YARN BOMB

We think the former home owner put this chain up to keep people from walking across the yard

So, I yarn bombed it

I made these flags from cheap yarn  and left over projects. The no longer trendy eyelash yarn was 37 cents!

Blooming madly, think it's called a firecracker plant

Crepe Myrtle tree, covered in Spanish moss. It gets lacy pink flowers all over.

What month is it? Sunday between 10:15 and 11 am I did some weeding. It was 79 degrees F with 75% humidity. I might change my name to Sweaty Betty.  One day it'll be fall down south. (I think it's snowing in Minnesota)

Another $5.99 dress

ANOTHER FRIDAY
My early birthday gift. An art student named Katie Bracewell made this

If you have a university with an art department near, you, it's a really good place to find art at good prices. And you're helping young artists make money.

Enjoying mid-morning on the deck. I think I should get a tripod. I took a dozen of so photos and only 2 were ok.

Today was the first Saturday I've had off in 3 weeks. I weeded my flower beds and put out an art project. I'll show you that tomorrow.........stay tuned.........

 I SEE A RED DOOR

Oh, the drama of it all. Note to self, open your eyes and stop being a drama queen
I look much better when I smile. Yeah, I was raining.

The red front door. The door on the carport side is the same.

See that twisty thing in the middle? (ignore the dust, please)

It's the door bell. And it still works, 90 years on. I'm leaving the paint like that on the door knob, too.

Old lady hand and succulents. My hands are big, geez, bad angle.

Damn,Serenity is on, I may be late for work today.
