WEIRD DOLL WEDNESDAY, PART 235


Clown Warning! Not a fan of clowns, this one is some sort of freaky hybrid clown/angel thing.

 

She (?) has a soft, floppy body and bisque/ceramic feet, hands and head. Was this used to frighten children?


Working on a theatre/music department version of Midsummer Night's Dream.....yes, I'm taking photos of the costume build. Stay tuned!

    As clowns go, this doll doesn't freak me out quite so much, which is a surprise. Maybe because it is part angel or 80's pop star.

    I am not crazy about clowns. Might have scared me a bit as a child! Cannot wait to see the costumes!

    I remember that this kind of 'harlequin' dolls were on trend in the 80's, with their porcelaine heads and hands, I think they're disturbing!
