WEIRD DOLL WEDNESDAY, PART 175
Awe, first day of Thanksgiving break. Five days to do whatever I want. To bad I didn't think to plan a short away vacation.
Here's this week lovely lady. She's just painted plastic but I think she beautiful. There's so much detail on her outfit!
Peace out everyone.
(step away from the table)
PS: resist Black Friday, stay home and enjoy your families.
Somewhere there must be a fabric shoppe for doll dressers, where a dedicated craftswoman can find the miniature laces and fringes that bedeck this Mittel European maiden. And are there mini Singers to stitch it all together?
ReplyDeleteThere was/is? a miniaturist shoppe in Del Ray Beach, Florida, where "environments" were built to order. These artists could make an International Festival display box for all your ethnic dolls, Thorne, complete with food booths and a dance floor. * The day I was there a couple was designing a set for a gigantic glass case -- so that his pet bearded dragon could live in her medieval princess's castle grounds. Quite a conversation piece for any living room!
I could have a diorama for every country!
DeleteShe is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI ended up with a few days off and am headed up to Seattle on Monday.
Oh, and I agree resist Black Friday. All my shopping is done online now or a shop local.
DeleteShe's a sweetheart! Oh goodness, the whole Black Friday nonsense is a thing here in the UK now too - how did that happen? It's not for me! xxx
ReplyDeleteI saw a story about that in The Guardian. Sad that people think that is the done thing to do.
